Seeding/Entry Notes Posted Monday, May 23

Due to an incorrect minimum qualifying standard in the 2B Girls 4x200 Relay, there was one additional qualifier, thus created a three-heat preliminary. The re-seed are in updated heat/flight sheets.
A correction was made in the seeding for the 1A Boys 800 to place the No. 1 and No. 2 runners from District 1/2/3 in separate heats (Tyler King switched heats with Logan Evans).

Seeding/Entry Notes Posted Sunday, May 22

IMPORTANT: Because of a missed additional qualifier from the 1B District 1/2/3 Meet in the Boys 1B 4x100, there will now be preliminary heats on Friday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m. (before boys 2B prelims). There were also two additional qualifiers missed in the 1B Boys Pole Vault from District 5/6. Heat/flight sheets below have been adjusted to reflect the changes. We're very sorry for the oversights.

Besides the Boys 1B 4x100, there were no other additional qualifiers in 1B running events for boys and girls that require preliminary heats on Friday, May 28.
Additional qualifiers in 1A or 2B running events with preliminaries were in the Boys 1A 100 (4 from District 5, 2 from District 6/7, 1 from District 4) and the Girls 2B 100 (1 from District 1/2/3), thus creating the only three-heat preliminaries of the State meet. In these events, the top two finishers in each heat will advance to the finals, as well as the next two fastest times. In prelims with two heats, the top three finishers in each heat plus the next two fastest times advance.
There were additional qualifiers in the Boys 1B 800 (2 from District 1/2/3) and the Girls 1A 800 (1 from District 1/2/3). No additional heats will be run, but those runners will be in a “B” position (drawn randomly) and start behind allocated runners.
In distance races in heat sheets posted and in the program, the front row consists of positions 1-8 and the second row consists of positions 9-16. There was one additional qualifier in the Boys 1A 3200 (District 1/2/3), Boys 1B 3200 (District 1/2/3) and the Girls 1B 3200 (District 5/6). Those runners will be given position 17 and will be in the third row.
Other events with extra entrants who met the minimum qualifying standards: 2B Boys Pole Vault (2 in District 5/6), 1B Boys Pole Vault (2 in District 7), 1B Boys Shot Put (1 in District 4), 1B Girls Pole Vault (1 in District 5/6), 1B Girls Long Jump (1 in District 5/6), 1B Girls Triple Jump (2 in District 5/6), 1A Girls High Jump (1 in District 6/7).
There were un-filled allocations in the following events from the following districts: 1B Girls 4x200 (1 in District 4), 1B Girls High Jump (1 in District 4) and 1B Girls Pole Vault (2 in District 4).

Boys: 1B - 7'6" 2B - 6'6" 1A - 10'0" Girls: 1B - 6'0" 2B - 6'0" 1A - 6'0"
Starting Heights in High Jump:

FACILITY NOTES:
1) The new javelin area now utilizes a synthetic surface to throw from. Spikes utilized must be 1/4” or less in accordance with the information provided in the online coaches information above.
2) Because all throws competitions are taking place in a new location, the implement weigh-in area will be moved to that location as well. Signage should direct you to the new location, however, because of traffic congestion on Washington Street, drop-off will remain the same (parking lot P9 south of the Roos Field entrance, or, in lot P12 behind the Pressbox).
