Ken Halpin currently serves as the Deputy Athletic Director with oversight over all external operations including development, marketing, communications, ticketing, sponsorships, licensing, special projects, and special events. Halpin also has oversight of the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Programs.
Prior to this role, Halpin served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships via KP Sports, which has since been acquired by Learfield, generating revenue for the EWU Athletic Department through corporate sponsorships. Before coming to Eastern, Halpin served as the Business Manager at the Community Colleges of Spokane. His responsibilities included oversight of events, facilities, purchasing and daily operations.
Halpin obtained a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Washington State University in 2015 and an M.A. in Sport Administration from Gonzaga University in 2006, where he currently teaches as an Adjunct Professor in the Sport Management program. He earned his B.A. from Willamette University in 2005, where he was an All-Conference performer in both football and baseball.
Halpin lives in Cheney with his wife, Amber, and two sons, Kenny and Jonathan.
