Q. Who can join the Eagle Athletic Association?

Anyone interested in the future of Eastern Athletics may join the EAA. Many of our donors attended Eastern, but you don't need to be an Eastern alumnus or letter winner to show your support.

Q. How do I make contributions to the Eagle Athletic Association?

The EAA offers its members a number of different giving options. To obtain donor benefits, contributions must be completed before sport seasons are ticketed. Below are a few of the ways you can get on board with the Eagles.

Cash and Credit Card Donations

Cash, checks, and credit cards are always acceptable. Gifts to Eagle Athletics are receipted and acknowledged by both the Athletics Department and the Eastern Washington University Foundation. Checks should be made payable to the "EWU Foundation." We also accept gifts in kind, equipment, and supplies. Please contact the EAA office directly for details.

Q. Does the EAA accept matching gift contributions?

Many companies match gifts to the EAA. Contact your company's benefits department for matching gift information.

Q. How do I renew my membership?

Eagle Athletic Association memberships operate according to the anniversary date of the annual fund drive. At the beginning of each fund drive, the EAA sends a letter or post card to all members. Following the letter, an EAA member will call you during the scholarship drive for your renewal.

If you prefer, renewals can be made over the phone with a credit card or mailed to the Eagle Athletic Association in the postage-paid envelope enclosed with the renewal letter, or online at www.goeags.com. Click on Eagle Athletic Association button.

Q. Does my gift make a difference?

Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us closer to meeting the total scholarship costs for dedicated Eagle student-athletes.

Q. What is the Inside Scoop Newsletter and how can I get it?

The Inside Scoop Newsletter is an email newsletter that gives you the latest news and events from the Eagle Athletic Association throughout the year. To subscribe, members and friends of the EAA simply send an email to EAA@mail.ewu.edu and ask to receive the Inside Scoop.

Q. How do I change my Eagle Athletic Association mailing or email address?

Please contact the EAA office via email at EAA@ewu.edu or call 509-359-6208. You can also stop by Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Room 102 of Hargreaves Hall on campus.

Q. Is my contribution tax deductible?

Yes. All gifts to the EAA are considered gifts to Eastern Washington University Foundation and are credited at full value for purposes of the donor's giving record to the University.

While gifts are tax-deductible, the EAA will calculate the fair-market value of the benefits accompanying each level of giving. Each year, you will receive a description of benefits and their values. Your tax deduction may be reduced by the value of these benefits.

Q. As a Eagle Athletic Association member, what kind of parking is available for football and basketball games?

Only EAA members at the Silver Eagle level or higher receive VIP parking for football and Golden Eagle or higher for basketball games. Parking is prioritized by qualifying membership levels. All parking based on availability. First consideration for parking space is given to members who purchase or accept season tickets.
