Track and field athletes Krystal Deyo and Adam Stewart have been selected by the Eastern Washington University athletics department as its Scholar-Athletes for the month of February.
Deyo accomplished all of her goals for the 2009 indoor track season, including breaking a 10-year-old school record in the 60 meters (7.55) and an 11-year mark in the long jump (19-2 3/4) two weekends ago at the Big Sky Conference Championships.
She has been named to the Big Sky All-Academic team three times in her Eagle career. The junior, who graduated from Castle Rock (Wash.) High School in 2006, is majoring in journalism.

The sophomore was a Big Sky All-Academic selection two times as a freshman. That year, he also had a pair of top-five finishes and personal bests at league championship meets.
