The best opportunity for fans to obtain tickets for games versus Beavers and Grizzlies are through alumni events
Featuring a guaranteed way to obtain game tickets, the “EWU Invades OSU” golf and tailgate party gatherings are now being offered by the Eastern Washington University Alumni Office, as well as packages for the annual showdown against Big Sky Conference rival Montana.
Information and registration for all events is now available at: alumni.ewu.edu
The Eagles open the 2013 football season at Oregon State on Aug. 31, and the EWU Kickoff Golf Tournament the day before will be featured at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore., at 1 p.m. Cost is $150 per person or $500 for a four-person team, and the cost includes the tournament, cart rental, barbecue and an exclusive EWU adidas football coaches pullover shirt.
The following day, the EWU Alumni Tailgate Party will take place from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the LaSells Stewart Center on the OSU campus. Cost is $75 per person, and includes food and unlimited beverages, as well as a ticket to the game, which begins at 3 p.m. Pacific time.
The registration deadline for the OSU events is 5 p.m. on Aug. 20.
Packages are also available for the Montana game on Oct. 26 in Missoula, including a Pregame Tailgate Party taking place at the River Bowl South (on the corner of Maurice Avenue and S. 5th Street E. in Missoula). The event starts at 10:30 a.m. Mountain time and costs $60 for Eagle Athletic Association members ($65 for non-members) and includes a meal from Fatburger, beverages from Odom/MillerCoors and a ticket to the game, which begins at 1:30 p.m. Mountain time (12:30 p.m. Pacific).
Another Pregame Tailgate Party package also includes bus transportation the day of the game to Missoula from locations in Cheney and Spokane. Cost is $90 for EAA members ($95 for non-members).
Eastern does not expect to have game tickets available for purchase through the Eastern Athletic Department, so the alumni packages may be the only way fans can obtain tickets in the EWU cheering section for those games, particularly in Missoula.
