Riding a four-game winning streak, the Eastern Washington University women’s basketball team heads back out on the road to play Sacramento State on Saturday (Feb. 4) at 2 p.m. in Sacramento, Calif. With a win Saturday at The Nest, the Eagles would catch league-leading Idaho State in the Big Sky standings. The Bengals would still have a slightly better percentage at 8-1, but the teams would be essentially even, as Eastern would improve to 9-2.
The Eastern Washington University women’s tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Cougars of Washington State on Friday (Feb. 3) morning at the Simmelink Tennis Courts in Pullman, Wash. The Eagles also fell in their season opener last weekend against Seattle, losing by a very narrow score of 4-3.
The Eastern Washington University men's basketball team will try to beat the Hornets for the 16th-straight time at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash., when the Hornets visit Saturday (Feb. 4) for a pivotal league contest. The game starts at 6:05 p.m. Pacific time, with all Eastern fans encouraged to wear white on “White Out Reese” night.
After winning three-straight games on the road, the Eastern Washington University women’s basketball team returned home to pick up one more, as it downed Northern Arizona, 84-58, on Thursday (Feb. 2) at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. The win Thursday, coupled with Idaho State’s overtime loss at home to Montana State, moves the Eagles within a half game of the league-leading Bengals.
