2011-12: Indoor: Fishel had his indoor personal best in the high jump at the Candy Cane Invite, clearing the bar at 6-8 to place second. He placed sixth at the BSC Indoor Championships with a jump of 6-6 3/4. Outdoor: He placed fourth in the high jump at the BSC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 6-6 3/4. He hit his outdoor personal-best mark of 6-7 1/2 in the high jump at the Duane Hartman Invite, placing him second overall. Fishel also ran the 100 at the WAR 5, clocking a time of 11.87. He ran on a 4x400 relay team at the Pelluer Invite, which placed first in a time of 3:31.23.
2010-11: Redshirted.
2009-10: Indoor: As a true freshman, Fishel made a big splash in the Big Sky Conference. His season-best mark in the high jump came at the BSC Indoor Championships, where he jumped 6-7 to place second. He jumped 6-6 3/4 at the WSU Cougar Invitational, placing third. He also competed in the 60 (7.58) and 200 (24.54). Outdoor: Fishel qualified for the BSC Outdoor Championships where he had a mark of 6-3 1/4 to place him 10th. He jumped his season-best mark at the Beach Invitational, clearing the bar at 6-5 1/2 and placing him sixth overall. He was selected to the spring Big Sky All-Academic team.
High School: Fishel competed in the high jump three times during his career at the 4A WIAA State Championships. He placed second his junior year (6-7, high school-best), 11th his senior year (6-4) and 14th his sophomore year (6-0). He was also a two-time NPSL district champion and team captain for the Kentwood Conquerors.
