2012 Cross Country: Thor had a stellar freshman season for the Eagles, placing in the top 25 in five meets and being the top runner for Eastern in every meet. He was 25th at the Big Sky Championships with a time of 26:35.5. At the Sundodger Invitational, Thor placed 19th with a time of 24:55.74, his best time of the season. He was also 22nd at the Clash of the Inland Northwest (19:23.9 6,000), eighth at the Montana Invitational (26:15.5) and 20th at the Inland Empire Classic (25:35). He competed at the NCAA West Regionals, finishing 83rd with a time of 31:13 (10,000).

High School: Thor dominated the KSHSAA 5A State Championships in Kansas in both cross country and track, winning state titles twice in cross country and five times in track. His two state wins in cross country came during his junior and senior seasons, covering the 5,000 meter course in 16:03.3 his senior year and 16:15.9 his junior year. In his senior year of track at the 5A State Championships, Thor ran the distance trifecta in incredible fashion, winning the 800 (1:56.64), 1,600 (4:15.43) and 3,200 (9:25.36). His times from the 1,600 and the 3,200 at that meet were both personal bests. During his junior season, he won both the 1,600 and 3,200 at the state meet and placed second in the 800. He was also second in the 800 and third in the 1,600 at state his sophomore year.  Thor’s other best times were in the 800 (1:55.37) and XC 5,000 (15:40.40).

Personal: Intends to major in Mechanical Engineering. Born 10/9/93 in Pocatello, Idaho. His parents are Matthew and Jenni Thor.
