2011-12: Indoor: At the UW Husky Classic, Alnassim got off a personal-best throw of 53-8 1/4 to place 20th overall in the weight throw. His next best mark came at the Idaho Vandal Collegiate, where he had a throw of 52-6. Outdoor: His personal best of 175-4 in the hammer throw placed him fourth at the Pelluer Invite. He also threw 165-5 at the BSC Outdoor Championships, placing him 12th overall.

Spokane CC: Alnassim competed in three throwing events for the Spokane Sasquatch at the 2011 NWAAC Championships, placing second in the hammer throw (164-8), eighth in the shot put (39-3 3/4, personal-best) and ninth in the discus (117-8, personal best). He had a personal-best throw in the hammer of 167-5 at the Whitworth Sam Adams Classic, placing fourth. During his freshman year, he placed third in the hammer at the NWAAC Championships with a toss of 151-0. He improved immensely during his sophomore year, improving in the discus by over 16 feet (101-1 to 117-8) and in the hammer by over 10 feet (157-2 to 167-5).
