High School Cross Country: McDonald ran her best time on a 5,000-meter course at the Nike Pre-Nationals, where she placed 15th and had a time of 21.43.9.

High School Track: McDonald ran the 800 meters (2:27.45), the 1600 meters (5:36.54) and the 3200 meters (12:40.48) for Shoreline High School. She also ran a leg of the 4x400 meter relay.
