Live show at Northern Quest Casino and Resort features men’s basketball coach Jim Hayford and host Dennis Patchin
The final Eastern Washington University Coaches Show of the 2011-12 school year will take place tonight (March 12) at 5 p.m. at the Q Sports Bar and Restaurant at Northern Quest Casino and Resort. The show is starting an hour earlier than normal because of pre-game coverage on 700-AM ESPN for the Spokane Shock season-opening football game.
First-year Eagle men’s basketball head coach Jim Hayford will join host Dennis Patchin for tonight’s hour-long show, and fans are welcome to come watch the show live and order menu items from the restaurant. The show airs live on 700-AM ESPN 700-AM ESPN, www.700espn.com & via iphone app. (search for “700 ESPN” and download app).
Northern Quest is located at 100 N. Hayford Road in Airway Heights. From downtown Spokane, take exit 277 off I-90 and follow Highway 2 for 4.4 miles, then turn right on Hayford Road and follow for 1.0 miles. From Cheney, take exit 272 off I-90 and follow WA-902 toward Medical Lake for just 0.3 miles. Take a right on Geiger Blvd., followed by a quick left on Hayford Road and follow for 4.4 miles.
The Eagles finished the 2011-12 season with a 15-17 record overall and 8-8 mark the Big Sky Conference (not 7-9 as listed in last week's season-ending news release). The Eagles were 1-10 this season against teams selected for the four national postseason tournaments – NCAA (0-5 with three losses to Montana and one each to Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s), National Invitation Tournament (loss to Oregon), College Basketball Invitational (1-1 with 73-66 win over Idaho and loss to Washington State) and the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (0-3 with two losses to Weber State and one to Cal State Fullerton).
