2006-07: Redshirted the 2006-07 season. He broke his left foot in preseason practices on Nov. 6, 2006, and was unable to participate in practices most of the season.
High School: Graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2006. Loofburrow averaged 18 points per game as a senior, earning honorable mention All-State honors from the Associated Press and first team All-State accolades by Northwesthoops.com. He was also the Big Nine Conference MVP after leading Eisenhower to a 21-4 record and the Big Nine Conference regular season and district titles. The Cadets were ranked 10th in the final State 4A poll. As a junior, he averaged 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Eisenhower to a fourth-place finish at the State 4A Tournament. One of his teammates on that team was Branden Johnson, who now plays at Montana State. Loofburrow played in Washington's 103-95 loss to Oregon in the Les Schwab Northwest Shootout on April 2, 2006. Loofburrow scored 10 points in the game. He was coached at Eisenhower by Pat Fitterer, who is a current member of the coaching staff for USA Basketball.
Personal: Born Nov. 27, 1987, in Yakima, Wash. Full name is John David Loofburrow. Construction management major. Son of Dick and Pamela Loofburrow. He has three brothers (Chad, 36; Todd, 34; and Mike, 17) and one sister (Lindsay, 25).
