HS: Graduated from Skyline HS in 2010. Named by the Seattle Times as a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. He was a first team All-KingCo League Crest Division selection as both an offensive guard and as a defensive lineman. Butorac helped Skyline to a 40-2 record as a three-year letter winner, including a trio of state titles. He had seven sacks as a senior to lead the league. Was the defensive player of the game and had his team’s hit of the game when he had a pair of sacks as Skyline lost 28-25 to Oaks Christian of California and Washington-bound quarterback Nick Montana on Sept. 18, 2009. Skyline won the State 4A title with a 45-21 romp past Ferris to finish the season 12-2. Skyline also won the 2008 title with a perfect 14-0 record, defeating Issaquah 20-15 in the title game. Skyline was 14-0 and won the state title in his sophomore season as well. His Eagle teammates Jase Butorac (’10), Jason Harris (’06) and Tyler Washburn (’08) also graduated from Skyline.
Personal: Born 9/4/91 in Bellevue, Wash. Will turn 19 two days after Eastern plays Nevada. Parents are Michael and Valerie Day. Intends on majoring in communications at EWU.
