2010: Listed as a backup at defensive tackle on EWU’s preseason depth chart. In the spring, he was selected as Eastern’s most improved defensive player.

2009: Played in all 12 Eastern games as backup lineman, with a season-high four tackles versus Portland State (10/31/09) when he had the first sack of his career. He also had three tackles versus Montana (10/17/09).

2008: Played sparingly as a non-lettering squad member. Was the team’s scout team defensive player of the week once.

2007: Redshirted. He was defensive scout team player of the week four times – the most on the team.

HS: Graduated from Mount Si HS in 2007. Was a first team selection as a defensive lineman on the Associated Press 4A All-State team as selected by sports editors and writers. Earned first team 3A All-State honors as a defensive lineman from WashingtonPreps.com. Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-Star football game. He was also named by the Seattle Times on its “Star Times” All-Area team and as a “White Chip” selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. He was the KingCo 3A Lineman of the Year after finishing with 13 sacks. He was also a first team all-league defensive lineman and a second team all-league tight end. He caught a touchdown pass and scored on a game-winning blocked field goal attempt in a double-overtime victory. His team finished 10-2 – the best record in school history – and reached the quarterfinals of the State 3A Playoffs. Mount Si defeated Camas 28-7 before falling 16-0 to Kamiakin. Also wrestled at Mount Si where he was KingCo 3A champion as a senior and junior and finished third at the 2006 State 3A Championships.

Personal: Born 4/5/89 in Renton, Wash. Full name is Charles Dexter V. Moetului. He sings, acts and won a first-place award for music-video direction at the Northwest High School Film Festival. Last name is pronounced “moe-to-louie.” Electronic media and filmic arts major.
