Public invited to meet Michael Roos and other NFL players Saturday from 6-7 p.m. in Post Falls
Former Eastern Washington University offensive lineman Michael Roos and several of his fellow National Football League players will make a public appearance Saturday (June 11) as part of the second-annual Roos Foundation “Fish & Chip” Tournament.
The players will be at Cabela’s in Post Falls, Idaho, from 6-7 p.m. Roos, who is set to begin his seventh season as a starting offensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans, is expected to be joined by his Titans teammates Jake Locker, Randy Moss , Jake Scott, Ahmard Hall and Leroy Harris, as well as Roy Lewis (Seattle) and Eric Winston (Houston). Because it is a fundraising event, donations are required to gather autographs from the athletes.
With the world-class Coeur d’Alene Resort as the backdrop, the “Fish and Chip” brings together current and former NFL players, EWU supporters and several corporate sponsors for three days of competition featuring golf and bass fishing.
Presenting sponsors included The Coeur d’Alene Resort and Cabela’s.
The resort is the site of the golf tournament and barbecue, and its marina, on scenic Lake Coeur d’Alene, is the launching point for the bass fishing competition and evening cruise. Cabela’s provided equipment for the NFL participants, in addition to hosting the in-store autograph session at its Post Falls location.
