2011: Listed as a backup at weak-side outside linebacker on preseason depth chart. In four spring scrimmages, he had eight tackles and broke-up a pass.
2010: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team after playing in all 15 Eagle games. Seeing most of his action on special teams, he had a season-high two tackles versus Sacramento State (10/23/10) to earn EWU special teams player of the week honors. Agen had an interception he returned seven yards versus Southeast Missouri State (12/4/10) in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision Playoffs at EWU’s Roos Field. He also had a forced fumble against Idaho State (11/20/10) and recovered a fumble on a fumbled punt return by Montana (9/18/10) that led to an EWU score in a 36-27 victory in the first game on EWU’s red Sprinturf surface at Roos Field. He helped the Eagle defense rank first nationally in interceptions (total of 26) and turnovers gained (47), and finish sixth nationally in red zone defense, as it allowed just 38 scores in 58 opponent trips inside the Eagle 20-yard line. He led the Eagles with 23 tackles in four spring scrimmages, including a pair of sacks.
2009: Redshirted as a walk-on to the Eagle program.
HS: Graduated from Central Valley HS in 2009. He earned second-team All-Greater Spokane League honors as a defensive back. He helped the Bears to a 9-2 record his senior year and a berth in the State 4A Playoffs. His Eagle teammates Patrick Mealey (’08) and Jake Miller (’10) also attended Central Valley. They were coached at Central Valley by Rick Giampietri, a 1970 graduate of Eastern and letterman for the football team in 1968 and 1969.
Personal: Born 8/18/91 in Spokane, Wash. His father, Steve Agen, also attended Eastern. Undecided on a major.
