He caught five passes for 54 yards in EWU’s Red-White Spring Game, and clinched a 28-14 victory for the Red with a 2-yard touchdown run.

2010: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Played in all 15 games as the backup to two-time All-American Taiwan Jones, including three games as the starter. Brown rushed for 23 yards on 13 carries and caught a career-high five passes for 57 yards in EWU’s come-from-behind 20-19 win over Delaware (1/7/11) in the NCAA Division I Championship Game. In just his third career start, Brown had a key 35-yard reception in the third quarter that helped give EWU momentum during its first of three scoring drives. He also had three catches on EWU’s second scoring drive and one on Eastern’s game-winning march. Also included in the wins without Jones was EWU’s 41-31 semifinal victory over Villanova (12/17/10) when Brown rushed for a career-high 104 yards on 26 carries. Brown's 104 rushing yards marked the 10th individual 100+ rushing yard game of the season for Eastern Washington, and eighth in a row. Jones had all of the previous nine 100-yard performances, and Brown’s previous career high was 54 yards in a 37-17 second-round playoff victory over Southeast Missouri State (12/4/10). He made his first career start versus Idaho State (11/20/10), and finished the game with 51 rushing yards on 11 carries and caught three passes for 24 yards. Brown had four rushes for 18 yards and a kickoff return for 20 yards in his debut versus Nevada. In two fall scrimmages, he rushed for 86 yards on 21 carries.

Earned first-team All-Hayward Area Athletic League honors as a senior running back. He led the league in rushing, finishing with 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. He scored 17 total touchdowns for 102 points to rank second in the league. His team finished 4-6-1 and advanced to the playoffs. As a junior in 2008, he ran for 1,928 yards (9.2 per carry) and 23 touchdowns, and also caught 16 passes and had 270 yards in returns. Defensively he added 33 tackles, five interceptions and a forced fumble as he helped lead the Dragons to a 10-2 record. He had the fastest 40-yard dash time (4.52) at the 2008 Oakland Scout.com Combine.
