Career: His 150 career points are just three from earning a spot on Eastern’s top 10 career list for scoring, and just 29 points from the No. 5 position for career kick scoring. His 105 extra points made ranks second behind the record of 120 held by Troy Griggs (1999-01) and his 111 attempts are only 15 behind the record of 126, also held by Griggs. Jarrett’s 15 field goals made ranks 10th in school history and his 29 attempts are eighth.
2011: Listed as EWU’s starting kicker on preseason depth chart. He made 2-of-4 field goals in four spring scrimmages, including makes of 30 and 37 yards and misses of 42 and 32.
2010: Was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the second-straight season. His 10 field goals made included a season-long 40-yarder at Nevada (9/2/10). He made all but one of his 55 extra point attempts, with the lone miss coming against Southeast Missouri State (12/4/10) in the NCAA Championship Subdivision Playoffs. His 54 extra points made ranks third in school history and his 19 field goal attempts is eighth. He made three field goals, including the game-winner for all intents and purposes, in Eastern’s 36-27 victory over Montana (9/18/10) in the debut of Eastern’s red Sprinturf surface at Roos Field. Jarrett was short on his first field goal attempt from 41 yards out, but made a pair of 20-yarders before his clutch 31-yard kick with four seconds to play in the game. His boot broke a 27-all tie, and Eastern added a touchdown on the game’s final play to win by nine. He made two field goals in the semifinals of the NCAA Championship Subdivision Playoffs against Villanova (12/17/10), with kicks of 24 and 31 yards.
2009: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. His 51 extra points made (on 56 attempts) rank as the fourth-most in school history. He kicked field goals of 39 and 48 yards in EWU’s loss to Montana (10/17/09), with the longer boot ranking as the 23rd-longest in school history. His 49-yarder at Idaho State (10/3/09) ranks 20th. Eastern scored on its first possession of its playoff game against Stephen F. Austin (11/28/09), capped by Jarrett’s 40-yard field goal to end a 56-yard drive. He was selected as the team’s special teams player of the week for his performances against Montana and in his collegiate debut versus Western Oregon (9/5/09) when he made all five of his extra point attempts and averaged 57.5 yards on six kickoffs.
2008: Played sparingly as a non-lettering squad member.
HS: Graduated from Puyallup HS in 2007. Earned honorable-mention 4A All-State honors as selected by WashingtonPreps.com. Went on to kick a field goal and make two extra points in the East-West All-State game following his senior season. He was selected to the All-South Puget Sound League South Division first team as a senior kicker and was a second-team All-Area selection by the Tacoma News Tribune. As a junior, he helped lead Puyallup to a 9-0 league record and 12-1 mark overall. Puyallup advanced to the semifinals of the State 4A Playoffs that season and won three SPSL titles while he was there. He also earned first-team All-SPSL honors in soccer as both a junior and senior and served as team captain. His former EWU teammate Makai Borden (’05) also attended Puyallup HS.
Personal: Born 2/7/89 in Puyallup, Wash. His brother Bryan Jarrett was an All-Big Sky Conference safety for the Eagles in 2005 and 2007 after transferring from Western Washington University. Communication studies major.
