The AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl features 100 future professional football hopefuls who will have the opportunity to showcase their talent at the 27,000-seat Home Depot Center – home of professional soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA.
Mitchell, winner of the Walter Payton Award presented by The Sports Network to the top player in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, will play for the “American” team led by legendary NFL head coach Tom Flores. The only other quarterback on his team’s roster is Nick Stephens from Tarleton State.
The opponent for the American squad is the “National” team, coached by legendary coach and broadcaster Dick Vermeil.
