First Week Ends With Short Scrimmage
Eagles will get an initial live look at 2012 squad, with three more scrimmages to follow during spring practice

The Eastern Washington University football team will conduct its first scrimmage of spring practices on Saturday (April 7) at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash.
Eastern head coach Beau Baldwin said the scrimmage will consist of about 25-30 plays, and the actual scrimmage will start at about 11:20 a.m. The team will begin practicing at 10 a.m.
The Eagles, who concluded an injury-plagued 2011 season with six wins in their last seven games to finish 6-5, will practice three more weeks. Spring practices conclude on Saturday, April 28 at 2 p.m. with the annual Red-White Spring Football Game as part of the 31st-Annual Orland Killin Weekend at EWU.
Eastern also scheduled to scrimmage on Friday, April 13 (approximately 3:30 p.m.) and Saturday, April 21 (approximately 10:30 a.m.) at Roos Field in Cheney, Wash.
The Patchin, Osso and Lukens radio talk show will air live from Roos Field on April 13 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and include interviews from players, coaches and other Eastern staff members. The show may be heard 700-AM ESPN, www.700espn.com & via iphone app. (search for “700 ESPN” and download app).
The Red-White Game will be televised Live in the Spokane area by SWX (SWX Digital 6.2 in Spokane, 25.3 in the Tri-Cities & 23.3 in the Yakima area; Comcast 115; Time Warner 306; Charter 287, Cable One 466).
Spring Practice Schedule
Practices take place various days through April 28. Most practices are scheduled to start at 4 p.m. (media interviews at approximately 3:45 p.m. or after practice at about 6 p.m.). All practices take place at Roos Field. Scrimmages also take place on the red Sprinturf surface at the “Inferno” in Cheney, Wash.
