Football To Give Fans Vote For Top Play Of 2013 Season
Starting Monday, Jan. 20, fans of Eastern Washington University Football will have the chance to pick their favorite play of the 2013 season in a bracket-style elimination that will see one play emerge as the winner.
The Eagles' 2013 campaign was one for the record books as EWU finished a perfect 8-0 in Big Sky play, winning the league title and advancing to the semifinal round of the FCS Playoffs for the third time in four seasons.
Eastern opened the year with an upset of FBS member and then-No. 25 Oregon State, arguably the biggest win in school history. With the nation paying attention, the Eagles soared to an umblemished league mark and their seventh Big Sky crown, finishing third in the final poll.
Fans will have the opportunity to vote on 16 total plays from the past season, cutting the field of 16 highlights down to one play over the next four weeks. Voting will run from Monday through Friday of that week, giving fans five days to vote for their favorites. The list will be cut in half each subsequent week until only one play is left standing.
