HS: Graduated from Lynden HS in 2014. He was selected to the Associated Press 2A All-State team as a first team wide receiver and a second team defensive lineman. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Was named to the All-Whatcom County All-Area team as selected by the Bellingham Herald. Was an All-Northwest Conference 3A/2A selection as a first team wide receiver and first team defensive lineman. He was a unanimous selection on offense after finishing his senior season with 55 catches for 837 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 45 tackles on defense as he helped Lynden three-peat as State 2A champions. The Lions finished the season a perfect 14-0 and beat previously unbeaten Tumwater 38-28 for the title. He was also a starting wide receiver on Lynden's state championship team in his junior season in 2012. He was named to the Bellingham Herald All-Whatcom County All-Area squad. He had 30 receptions for 569 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. A four-year letter winner in football, he has also lettered in basketball and track and field. He helped Lynden win the 2012 State 2A championship in basketball, and place third in his junior season and second as a senior. He was also a member of Lynden’s 4x400 relay team that placed fourth in 2012 and fifth in 2013 at the State 2A Championships. His Eastern teammates Blair Bomber (’10) and Matt Meyer (’13) also attended Lynden.
