As a senior he earned honorable mention All-State honors as a tight end from WashingtonPreps.com. He also was a first team All-Seamount League King Division selection as both a tight end and defensive end. He was recognized by Qwest Communications in the Seattle Seahawks Leadership Challenge for his volunteer work at Sierra Heights Elementary School.
