Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 recruits in the state of Washington. He earned second team all-league honors as a senior receiver when he caught 35 passes for 587 yards and nine touchdowns. He also lettered in basketball and was a state qualifier in track.
