2008: Listed as a backup at wide receiver on EWU's preseason depth chart. Did not participate in spring practices because of a back injury originally suffered in the fall.

2007: Redshirted after a nagging back injury kept him out of most of the team's pre-season practices.

2006: Lettered as a true freshman, and made the first and only start of his career against Sacramento State (9/30/06). He had three catches for 30 yards against Weber State (11/4/06). He had four punt returns for 21 yards versus Northern Colorado (10/14/06) and caught a 37-yard touchdown pass. One game later he had four kickoff returns for 90 yards and a long of 26 against Portland State (10/21/06). He earned team offensive scout team player of the week honors once.

HS: Graduated from Ingraham HS in 2006. Earned honorable mention 3A All-State honors as a quarterback from WashingtonPreps.com. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 recruits in the state of Washington. Was a first team All-Metro League Sound Division selection as both a quarterback and defensive back. He helped Ingraham to its first winning season since 1988 by completing 50 percent of his passes (70-of-140) for 1,457 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also rushed for 283 yards and three scores. He earned WIAA Athlete of the Week honors from the Seattle Times after leading three fourth-quarter scoring drives in a come-from-behind win over Eastside Catholic. He passed for 370 yards and five touchdowns, and rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown in the victory. As a junior, he completed 46 percent of his passes (107-of-231) for 1,763 yards and 15 touchdowns. Attended the same high school as EWU teammate Nikolai Myers ('06).
