HS: Graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 2008. Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-State Game. Named by the Seattle Times as a "White Chip" selection as one of the top 100 prospects in the state of Washington. Earned second team All-Greater Spokane League honors as a quarterback and also played linebacker. He helped lead Gonzaga Prep to a 7-3 record. As a junior, he earned second team All-State honors from WashingtonPreps.com as a linebacker after earning second team All-GSL honors.

Personal: Born 3/2/90 in Richland, Wash. His father, Bill, played baseball at Eastern from 1982-85 after leading Moses Lake, Wash., High School to the WIAA State AAA title as a senior catcher in 1981. Bill graduated from Eastern in 1986.
