2008: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Did not start, but played in all 11 Eastern games. He had a career-high three catches versus both Idaho State (9/27/08) and Northern Colorado (11/8/08).
2007: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Started two games at tight end and made the first start of his career in Eastern's opener against Montana-Western (8/31/07). He caught one pass in seven different games, including a 20-yard touchdown catch versus Montana State (10/13/07) and a 2-yard score versus Appalachian State (12/1/07).
HS: Graduated from La Crosse-Washtucna HS in 2006. His team won four-straight State B-8 championships and was a perfect 48-0 in his four seasons at the school. He earned All-State honors three seasons on defense (defensive end and defensive back) and twice as a receiver. In 2005, he was selected as the B-8 Defensive Player of the Year by WashingtonPreps.com. He had 91 receptions for 2,215 yards and 33 touchdowns in his career. As a senior he had 55 catches for 1,185 yards and 25 total touchdowns (18 receiving, five rushing and two on returns). He also had 12 interceptions and 75 tackles in 2005. He was selected as the prep player of the week by the Seattle Times when he had eight receptions for 213 yards and three touchdowns in a 46-0 win over St. John-Endicott. He also had five interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown, and seven tackles in the victory. He was a four-year letter winner in football, basketball and baseball, earning all-conference honors two times in basketball and three times in eight-man football. In basketball as a senior, he averaged 16.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He was his school's co-salutatorian with a 3.91 grade point average in high school.
