2007: Listed as a starter at tight end on preseason depth chart. 2006: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Started four games at tight end. He had two catches for 34 yards in EWU's 34-0 victory over Northern Colorado (10/14/06). He missed spring practice because of a knee injury. At the conclusion of spring practice, he was one of two recipients of "Iron Eagle" awards for academic and athletic achievement during the year. 2005: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Started once against Western Oregon (9/17/05) when Eastern started the game in a two tight end formation. He caught one pass in that game for nine yards, then caught a pass for 19 yards against Northern Arizona (10/8/05). An important blocking tight end for the Eagles, he missed the last five games of the season with a knee injury. He was selected as the team's most improved offensive player at the conclusion of spring practice. 2004: Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team. Saw action as a reserve tight end, catching four passes for 40 yards. His first career catch was a 7-yard reception against Nicholls State (9/2/04). 2003: Redshirted. HS: Graduated from Mead HS in 2003. Selected by the Seattle Times as a "Red Chip" selection as one of the top 28 recruits in the state of Washington. As a senior he caught 18 passes for 286 yards and a touchdown, and had 121 tackles and a pair of sacks in his career. Earned team captain and most inspirational awards as Mead closed the season with a 2-7 record. Also competed in golf at Mead, helping the school to a runner-up finish at the State 4A Tournament in 2000 and third in 2001 and 2003. He finished 12th individually in 2002 to earn first team All-Greater Spokane League honors. He placed second in the Washington Junior Golf Association Tournament in 2001. Was a 4.0 student at Mead and valedictorian of his senior class. Former Eagles Lars Slind ('01) and Joey Cwik ('02) also attended Mead. Personal: Born 6/4/85 in Red Bank, N.J. Finance major with a perfect 4.0 grade point average after four years at EWU.
