HS: Graduated from Bellingham HS in 2006. Earned first team All-Northwest League honors as both an offensive and defensive lineman his senior season. He played guard and tackle on offense and was also the long snapper. He had a sack on the last play of his last high school game. As a junior he earned All-NWL first team honors on defense.
