HS: Graduated from Mountain View HS in 2007. Selected to play in the 4A/3A East-West All-Star football game. He was selected to the Vancouver Columbian All-Region team as a defensive back, and the paper described him as "one of the 4A Greater St. Helen's League's best athletes." He earned first team All-GSHL honors as a defensive back, and also played running back for the Thunder. Mountain View was 0-4 in its non-league schedule, but was 3-2 in the GSHL to finish third. The Thunder lost a regional playoff game and finished 3-7. He also earned All-GSHL honors as a junior when Mountain View finished 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the league before falling to Curtis 24-21 in the State 4A Playoffs. Mountain View was 8-3 overall and 5-1 in the league his sophomore season, and lost 48-36 in the first round of the State 4A Playoffs. Robinson attended the same high school as former Eagle offensive lineman Michael Roos, a 2000 graduate who has started the last two seasons at tackle for the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League. Robinson also competed in track and advanced to the State 4A Championships as a junior in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles. He earned first team All-GSHL honors in track as a sophomore.
