2010-11: Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team for the third-consecutive year. Earned one more singles win than the previous season, as he finished with a 9-12 overall record. He was one of only two players to record a win against then-No. 73 Idaho, as he downed UI’s Joes Bendeck at No. 4, 6-2, 6-4. Enjoyed a four-match winning streak from Feb. 6 - Feb. 27, with big wins over Weber State and Idaho State. In doubles action, Sanchez finished with an 11-8 overall record, including an impressive 6-2 mark against Big Sky opponents. Sanchez played 16 of 19 doubles matches with Chad Henninger, primarily in the No. 2 spot. The duo had a six-match winning streak from Feb. 6 - March 6 with notable wins against Weber State, Idaho State, Montana State and Montana. Henninger and Sanchez also beat Gonzaga twice during the season.
2009-10: Garnered Big Sky All-Academic honors for the second-straight year. Played in almost every position on the team, including eight appearances at the No. 1 singles spot. Finished his sophomore season with an 8-13 overall record in both singles and doubles matches. Beat Weber State’s Spencer Merchant (6-0, 1-6, 6-1) to help Eastern earn a 5-2 victory over the Wildcats, who were ranked No. 1 in the conference at the time. Won four BSC doubles competitions, three of which were with freshman teammate Fernando Mussolini.
2008-09: Sanchez had a highly successful 2008-09 season as a true freshman. He was one of three Eagles named to the Big Sky All-Academic team and had the best winning percentage on the squad at 13-2. He had a perfect 6-0 record in Big Sky play, while his only two losses on the year came against Portland in the first outing of the season and against No. 63 Boise State. He won every other match in straight sets. Sanchez was a combined 7-9 in doubles matches with three different partners.
