2008-09: Outdoors, Ulrey’s best 400 meters came at the Al Manuel Invitational with a time of 49.13. His best 200 meters was at the Beach Invitational with a time of 22.87. Indoors, Ulrey finished fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 48.71 at the Big Sky Conference Championships. His best 200 meters came at the Runner’s Soul Open with a time of 22.43. He was named Big Sky All-Academic both indoors and outdoors.
