Clutch quarterfinal and semifinal wins (both were decided by less than 10 points) helped BHS earn its first state title since 1999 and fifth in school history. Murdoch used pictures of Billings West High School celebrating its state title win over BHS the year before as motivation her senior campaign, posting them in her room and on her cell phone. She also represented Montana in the Montana-Wyoming all-star series and averaged 15 points per game in the two contests. She is the daughter of Lori Murdoch.
