2007-08: Nelson had the best season in school history in 2007-08, setting the school record for round average at 76.56. Following her outstanding campaign, she earned All-Big Sky Conference first team accolades. Nelson was also named to the Big Sky All-Academic team. She was named All-Big Sky Championship after tying for fifth with a 227. Following a consistent three rounds of play (225, 75-73-77) at the highly-competitive Ptarmigan Fall Classic, she earned Big Sky Player of the Week accolades for the fourth time in her career. At the Heather Farr Memorial Invitational, she recorded a 219, the third-best three-round score ever posted by an Eagle golfer.

2006-07: Nelson set a school record for lowest average score at 77.14 (that average now places her fourth on that chart). Her spectacular season earned her mention as a second team All-Big Sky member. Twice she earned Big Sky Golfer of the Week accolades, and she was honored as an All-Academic member. Nelson posted a 223 at the Big Sky Championship, tied for the ninth-lowest three-round score in EWU history. She is tied for the third-lowest round after shooting a 69 at the UNLV Invitational. The sophomore also had a 215 at the three-round Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic to set that school record.

2005-06: Nelson had a 223 at the Big Sky Championship, tied for the ninth-lowest three-round score by an Eastern golfer. That score allowed her to tie for third, which is the second-best placement ever recorded by an Eagle golfer at the Championship (Julie Gish placed second in 1993). She also attained Big Sky Golfer of the Week accolades on March 17. Her average round of 79.19 led the team.

Personal: She is the daughter of Daniel and Kathleen Nelson and is majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
