EWU Soccer Selling Pink Cookies for Breast Cancer
Team will be selling cookies in front of the PUB and at the volleyball match on Friday
The Eastern Washington University women's soccer team will be raising money for the fight against breast cancer and will be selling pink cookies outside the Pence Union Building (PUB) on campus for four hours on Friday morning (Oct. 2), starting at 9 a.m. The team will also sell cookies at the volleyball match that evening, as the Eagles play Sacramento State at 7 that night.
"We are really grateful for Mostly Muffins and their generosity in donating the cookies, and we feel this is a great opportunity for our program to give back to our community," assistant coach Tamara Hageage said. "Breast cancer has touched virtually everyone in our program, and we are all very excited to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation."
The soccer team is in the midst of an 11-day break from competition and will start Big Sky Conference play at Weber State on Thursday (Oct. 8). Kick-off that day is set for 2 p.m. Pacific Time.
