The Eastern Washington women's soccer team heads on the road for the first time in 2013 this weekend for matches at Nevada and at in-state rival Washington State. Their third and fourth matches of the season, respectively, come on the heels of a pair of home losses to open the season last weekend against Gonzaga (0-1) and Seattle (0-2).
Eastern is still seeking its first ever win in a season road opener. They carry a tally of 0-14-1 since the program's founding in 1997. It also is looking for the first road win against Nevada in its third trip to Reno.
Eastern will face Nevada Friday evening at 7 p.m., the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools. The Eagles will then square off with Washington State on Sunday, marking just the second meeting between the two teams in the last 12 years and the fifth meeting all-time. EWU is still seeking their first-ever win against a historically tough Cougar program.
