Cheney, Wash. – The Eastern Washington women's soccer program will host four adidas soccer camps throughout the spring and summer for aspiring soccer players, head coach Chad Bodnar announced Monday, Mar. 24.
All four camps will be held at the EWU Soccer Field on the Eastern campus.
EWU will host two separate one-day adidas Soccer ID camps for currently enrolled high school girls ages 15-18. These camps will focus on the technical, tactical and physical demands of collegiate soccer.
The first adidas Soccer ID camp is set for Saturday, May 17, while the second camp will take place on Wednesday, July 16. Each camp will run from 10 am-4 pm and will cost $125.
From June 23-25, the Eagles will hold an adidas Soccer Goalkeeper Camp, covering all of the essential skills of goalkeeping. The camp will include sessions that focus on reaction saves, dealing with crosses, diving saves, angle play and more. Designed to prepare players for their upcoming high school or club seasons, the camp also includes daily fitness and strength sessions.
The adidas Soccer Goalkeeper Camp is open to girls ages 11-18 and will run from 4 pm-7 pm. The cost is $125.
The adidas Soccer Residential High School Camp will welcome four to six girls high school teams and individual high school players from July 9-11. This camp is designed for high school teams and players with both the option of commuting teams and players or teams and players looking for a residential option.
At the adidas Soccer Residential High School Camp, campers will not only learn the fundamentals of the game, but will also train just like EWU's NCAA Division I soccer players. Current Eastern coaches and players will lead campers through warm-ups, speed work, technical drills and games.
The residential cost of the addias Soccer Residential High School Camp is $400, and the cost for commuters is $275. Check-in will begin at 12 pm on Wednesday, July 9, and check-out will take place at 2:30 pm on Friday, July 11.
