The Eastern Washington University women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Sacramento State in a road Big Sky Conference game on Friday afternoon (Oct. 17).

The Hornets got on the scoreboard early with a score from Kim Kemper at the 6:15 mark.

The best chance for Eastern Washington (2-9-3, 0-2-1 BSC) to get on the scoreboard came at the 37:56 mark when a shot by Chelsey Hannesson was saved by Sacramento State goalkeeper Savannah Abercrombie.

After the break, Kemper doubled her tally to two goals, earning Sacramento State (8-6-1, 2-1-0 BSC) a 2-0 lead with a score at the 58:27 mark.

Also contributing shots for Eastern Washington today included Brittany Sparks, Abby Jensen, April Coffin and Lacey Schreiner. Ashley Renz had seven saves.

The Eagles will play their final road game of the regular season at 11 a.m. on Sunday (Oct. 19) against Portland State. The game will take place in Beaverton, Ore. The Vikings are 3-9-3, 2-0-1 in Big Sky games.
