Eastern Washington University junior forward Cyeeta Mott was named to the Soccerbuzz.com elite feet team for the week of Sept. 26, as the Eagles prepare for three home games this week in Cheney, Wash.
Each week the magazine picks players from all across the country to be named on this team, and it is the first time an Eagle has won such an honor since the team began in 2001.
Mott was selected after she scored the game-winning goal in EWU's 2-1 upset victory over then ranked No. 21 Long Beach State. With the goal, she tied the school record of game-winning goals in her career with four.
Now with eight total goals in her career she is tied for second in Eastern history, behind only Jennie Summers who had 11 goals from 2002-2005. Mott is also tied for third all-time in points (19) and shots attempted (68).
In its last non-conference match of the season, Eastern will host Idaho Tuesday (Oct. 3) at 4 p.m. at the Sports and Recreation Center in Cheney, Wash.
Big Sky Conference play will open up for the Eagles on Friday (Oct. 6) at 4 p.m. as they host league newcomer Northern Colorado. The Eagles will also host Northern Arizona Sunday (Oct. 8) at noon, in another BSC match.
