Eagles Sweep Bengals 7-0

The Eastern Washington University women's tennis team swept the Idaho State Bengals 7-0 Friday (March 12) at the Thorpe Fieldhouse in Cheney, Wash.

With the victory, the Eagles improve to 3-0 in the Big Sky Conference. Eastern won all six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. No. 1 singles player Caitlin Bampton picked up her fourth victory of the season in the No. 1 spot.

"The women played a solid match today," said associate head coach Dale Silha. "While they didn't play their best tennis, they played smart and found ways to win all of the singles matches this evening. I am pleased with the result."
