      <title>36 Selected to Spring All-Academic Team</title>

      <description>A total of 36 Eastern Washington University student-athletes have been honored on the Big Sky Conference All-Academic team for the 2012 spring quarter. Of the total, 14 were from the women's outdoor track and field team, 13 from the men's outdoor squad, four from men's tennis, three from women's golf and two from women's tennis.</description>

      <description>It didn&#x2019;t take long for Eastern Washington University freshman Moira Hedberg to turn a few heads. Following her first season with the EWU women&#x2019;s tennis team, Hedberg was recognized as one of the top 12 players in the Big Sky Conference. In a vote by the league&#x2019;s head coaches, Hedberg was selected to the 2012 All-Big Sky Second Team.</description>

      <title>Eastern's Season Comes to an End with 6-1 Loss to Montana State</title>

      <description>The Eastern Washington University women&#x2019;s tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to the Bobcats of Montana State to close out the 2012 season. Eastern concludes the year at 4-15 overall and 2-6 in Big Sky Conference action. Although the team was unable to record a W, freshman Chrissy Uriarte picked up her second-straight victory at No. 3 singles, as she topped Wena Tsan, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).</description>

      <description>It was a tall task for the Eastern Washington University women&#x2019;s tennis team, which had to win both matches on the road this weekend against Montana and Montana State in order to have a shot at the postseason. But the Eagles went in hopeful. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side this Friday the 13th, as the Eagles fell to Montana, 6-1, at The Peak Racquet Club in Missoula, Mont.</description>

      <description>It is the final week of the 2012 regular season, and both the Eastern Washington University men&#x2019;s and women&#x2019;s tennis teams have a lot at stake. The men have already clinched a bid to the Big Sky Conference tournament, held April 21-22 in Sacramento, Calif., but seeding for the event is completely up in the air. The team can still finish anywhere from first to third in the standings, depending entirely on what happens this weekend.</description>

The Eagles&#x2019; very close 4-3 loss to Weber gave the Wildcats their first mark in the win column on Saturday (April 7). Eastern then lost by a score of 5-1 to NAU on Sunday (April 8).</description>

The Eagles fell to host Boise State, 7-0, on Friday (Feb. 10) and then dropped a 6-1 decision to Idaho on Saturday (Feb. 11). With the two losses, EWU falls to 0-5 on the season. The Broncos were quite dominant in doubles action, winning at No. 1 and 2 by a score of 8-1. Junior Chelsea Patton and sophomore Kelsey Knight put up a strong fight at No. 3 doubles, but fell to BSU&#x2019;s Kaitlyn Brown and Sonia Klamczynska, 8-5.</description>
