Three Women Qualify for Big Sky Conference Championships

The Eastern Washington University track and field team split squads this weekend as some competed at the Sam Adams Classic at Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash. and the rest of the team traveled to the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley, Calif.

Sarah Frey, Camille Moseley, and Nikki Buchholtz all qualified for the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championships with their performances at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational (April 14).

Buccholtz is ranked third all-time in Eastern history after her time of 11:29.87 in the steeplechase. Moseley is now ranked sixth all-time with a third place finish and a personal best time of 4:37.83 in the 1500. Frey also ran a personal best 58.17 in the 400 and placed fifth.

At the Sam Adams Invitational, Kristen Felderman took first in the 400 (59.29) and third in the 200 (26.74).

Up next the squad will compete Saturday (April 21) at the Oregon Invitational in Eugene, Ore.
