2010: Rossi-Childress saw limited action at the beginning of the year, but came on strong down the stretch, registering 37 kills and 28 blocks in the final six games. She had her best outing of the year against Northern Arizona (Nov. 13), as she finished with a double-double of 12 kills and 10 blocks, to go along with a season-high four aces. She helped Eastern to a pivotal five-set victory against Montana (Oct. 30) with four kills, four blocks and a season-high five digs. She tallied two kills and three blocks in Eastern’s 3-1 defeat of Idaho State (Oct. 23), and had nine kills, four blocks and four digs in EWU’s narrow 3-2 loss to Portland State (Nov. 6).
At Feather River College (2008-2009): Rossi-Childress was an All-Golden Valley Conference First Team selection in 2009 and earned honorable mention accolades as a freshman in 2008. She ranked in the top five in two categories in the 107-member California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). She was fourth in blocks per set (1.33) and fifth in kills per set (4.03). In addition, Rossi-Childress had a .350 hitting percentage and averaged 3.74 digs and .39 aces per set.
High School: Graduated from Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nev., in 2008. During her junior year, she was named the Most Valuable Player of the Northeast Division in the 4A Sunrise League. She was a All-Northeast Division First-Team selection after leading her team to a 13-5 overall record and a perfect 12-0 mark in division play. She holds the LVHS record for kills (225) and blocks (99) in a single season.
