2011: Continued to build her resume with All-Big Sky Second-Team honors, as well as her third-straight Big Sky All-Academic accolade…Puckett averaged 3.02 kills per set to rank seventh overall in the conference…She also recorded 70 blocks and 25 service aces for a points per set average of 3.54, which ranked sixth in the league…She earned UNLV All-Tournament Team honors for tallying 47 kills and 23 digs in three matches against Cal State Northridge, UNLV and Southern Utah…With exception of one match she sat out due to a minor ankle injury, the 5-11 lefty played every single rotation for the Eagles in 2011…She had 10 double-doubles on the year - the second most on the team - and had double-digit kills in 20 of 28 matches…She registered a career-high 22 kills and six blocks in a 3-2 win against Boise State (Aug. 31), and also had 13 digs and three service aces…She had only four errors in that match on 45 total attempts for an impressive .400 attack percentage - her second-best of the season…She hit a .524 clip at Weber State (Sept. 16) with 13 kills and only two errors on 21 attempts…Puckett had a nine-match streak with at least 10 kills, including the first six of the Big Sky Conference season…She turned in one of her best all-around efforts at Montana State (Sept. 23) with 15 kills, 14 digs, four blocks and two aces…She notched a career-high 18 digs to go along with 14 kills and three blocks in a five-set win at Northern Arizona (Oct. 29), which avenged a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to the Lumberjacks from earlier in the season.
2010: Following the 2010 season, Puckett was named to the All-Big Sky Honorable Mention squad and the Big Sky All-Academic team…She averaged 2.67 kills per set to lead the Eagle offense in 2010…She registered her first-career double-double in the second outing of the year against Seattle (Aug. 28) with 21 kills on .415 hitting and a career-high 19 digs…She had three-consecutive double-doubles against Cal Poly (Sept. 10), Idaho (Sept. 10) and Montana (Sept. 17) …In the Sept. 17 contest against UM, Puckett had 11 kills, 18 digs and a career-high four service aces…She recorded double-digit kills in 11 of 16 conference games, including a team-leading 21 in EWU’s thrilling five-set victory over Montana (Oct. 30) …Puckett had 13 kills and only two errors on 29 attempts against Northern Colorado (Oct. 16), while also tallying four blocks and two aces…She helped Eastern nab its first road win of the season at Idaho State (Oct. 23) with 14 kills on .382 hitting, and a career-high seven blocks.
2009: Puckett was the only true freshman to see action during the 2009 campaign, as she played in 24 of Eastern’s 29 matches…She was named to the Big Sky All-Academic team for maintaining a 3.20 grade point average during her rookie season…She tallied a career-high six kills and three blocks on three separate occasions…She registered a career-high six digs against Nevada (Sept. 4) …Puckett received the Emtman Award during the spring season, which is an honor administered by Eastern’s head strength and conditioning coach and recognizes strong work ethic, perseverance, character and team-first attitude.
High School: Puckett, native of Latah, Wash., graduated from Tekoa-Oaksdale in 2009…After helping lead her prep squad to its first-ever state title as a junior in 2007, Puckett was named the Associated Press Most Valuable Player at the 1B level for the state of Washington…She was also named the MVP of the Whitman County League that same year. Puckett then helped the team to a third-place showing at the 2B level her senior year, earning 2B state MVP accolades following the season. Her sophomore year saw the Nighthawks place third in the 1B tournament…She was also a member of a Spokane Splash club volleyball team that placed 19th at the Junior Olympics in 2009…Also lettered in basketball and was a two-time All-Whitman County League selection. …She helped Tekoa-Oakesdale to a sixth-place finish at the 2007 1B state tournament…She also earned All-State honorable mention accolades in softball in 2007.
