Last weeks Big Sky Conference Player of the Week Addie Webster continued to impress Wednesday by recording her third double-double in a row, as the Eastern Washington University volleyball team beat Idaho (5-12) 3-1 by the scores of 30-22, 30-22, 18-30, and 30-28 at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. (Oct. 11).
With the win, Eastern moves to 11-7 overall and remains 3-5 in the Big Sky.
Webster finished the match with 10 kills and 11 digs, and was not the only Eagle to record a double-double on the night as Chrystal Johnson had 13 kills and 19 digs.
Kerri Beck and Brittney Page finished with 14 kills apiece. Mandy Daniels recorded a game-high 22 digs and Stephanie Baker had a game-high seven blocks. Beck added four blocks and Page had six, as Eastern recorded a season-high 13 blocks.
Eastern took the first two games by the score of 30-22, hitting .310 and .471, respectively. Idaho hit .098 and .140. The Vandals stormed back in the third game to prevent the sweep with a 30-18 win, in which they hit .500 for the game. The fourth game went down to the wire with the Eagles rallying late to take the game 30-28.
The Eagles continue Big Sky play Friday (Oct. 13) as they take on Weber State (4-18, 1-7) at 7:05 p.m. in Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. In its first meeting this year, Eastern defeated Weber State 3-0 in Ogden, Utah. Eastern will also host Portland State (12-5, 7-1) on Saturday (Oct. 14) at 7:05 p.m.
