Webster Named Big Sky Player of the Week

Eastern Washington's Addie Webster was named Big Sky Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for games played the week of Oct. 2-9, 2006.

Webster led the Eagles to two conference wins on the road last week, averaging 6.14 kills per game and 5.14 digs per game. Eastern defeated Montana State 3-1 on Thursday and shut out Montana on Saturday.

The outside hitter tallied 27 kills and 18 digs against the Bobocats. In the win over the Grizzlies, Webster recorded her second straight double-double with 16 kills and 18 digs.

Webster, a native of Portland, Ore., finished the weekend with 43 kills, 36 digs, four blocks and a .378 hitting percentage. The sophomore is ranked fifth in the conference in kills per game with 3.83 and ninth in digs per game with 3.40. Webster has also recorded seven double-doubles this season.

Eastern will play its next five matches at home. Three are this week, starting with a non-league match Wednesday (Oct. 11) against Idaho. Conference play resumes at home on Friday (Oct. 13) against Weber State and Saturday (Oct. 14) against Portland State.
